Michigan Humanities is hosting the First Michigan Humanities Awards on May 16, 2019. Three awards will be presented to recognize and reward individuals and organizations that have made an outstanding contribution to the civic and cultural vitality of the State of Michigan.

Posthumous Recognition Award to U.S. Representative John Dingell for his many years of Humanities support will be presented to U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell.

U.S. Representative John Moolenaar will receive an Outstanding Supporter of Humanities award for his humanities work throughout Michigan.
